Lesson Plans

When it comes to planning lessons for Kid's Church content is critical. Kids need a fast moving, object lesson oriented teaching structure to drive home the point. We encourage leaders to keep things moving using games, music, puppet sketches and scripture memorization techniques along with short "to the point" sermonettes or devotions. Over the years we have discovered some very good  curriculums you may want to try out. We have provided links below.

Kids Church 2
This curriculum is probably my favorite. It has lots of games ands object lessons and more than enough material to get you through even the longest services (up to 2 hours). You will need to work with it some to adjust to your scedule and service length.

The Kitchen

If you hate doing your own Power Point lesson slides, this is the curriculum for you! They have lots of cool slides and videos that go along with the lesson, as well as some fun games too.

Sermons 4 Kids

Wow! What can I say about this site? These object lesson mini devotionals are fantastic for a main topic or for your "Kid's Moment" in big church. Many Kid's Church Directors do a little sermonette after the singing in the main sanctuary before taking the kids to the Kid's Church area. These are the perfect fit for that or maybe a cabin devotion at Youth Camp. I have used them many times, even when speaking to adults. They don't provide any games because it's not a curriculum for Kid's Church, but a great resource if you are designing your own program.
